This policy describes what data Wolf Golf ("the app") collects, how we use
it, and your choices. Wolf Golf is published by GLS. If you have questions,
email support@wolfgolfgames.com.
Data we collect
Account data
-
Sign in with Apple identifier. When you sign in we store
your Apple user ID and (if you share it) your name and email. We use
Firebase Authentication as our identity provider.
-
Profile. Display name, optional handicap index, tee-box
preference, account role, and account creation timestamp.
-
Subscription state. Whether you have an active Clubhouse
subscription, whether you've used your free round, and the purchase
attribution UUID we attach to each purchase (so our backend can tie an
App Store transaction to your profile for referral rewards).
Gameplay data
-
Courses. Courses you save, manually add, or fetch from
the course provider. Public courses are shared with other users; your
personal library is private to your account.
-
Rounds. Round metadata (course, format, players, scores,
settlements) for multiplayer rounds you host or join. Round data is
visible to other participants in the same round.
-
Referrals. Your referral code, who referred you, and
referral rewards you've earned.
Device + permissions
-
Location. Requested only for the "Near You" course
search — used on-device to rank nearby courses. A coarse fix is shared
with our backend only if you explicitly search while "Near You" is
enabled. You can deny or revoke permission at any time in iOS Settings.
-
Local network / Bonjour. Requested to discover nearby
devices when hosting or joining a local round via Multipeer Connectivity.
No network data is transmitted off-device for this feature.
Purchase attribution
Apple sends our backend a server notification each time a Clubhouse
subscription is purchased, renewed, or refunded. We use this to award
referral credit to whoever referred you (if anyone), and to keep your
subscription state in sync across devices. We never receive your payment
card, billing address, or Apple ID email from these notifications.
How we use your data
- Run the app's core features (sign-in, courses, rounds, referrals).
- Sync your data across devices using Google Firestore.
-
Process subscription purchases and award referral credits in response to
App Store Server Notifications.
- Diagnose crashes and performance issues.
We do not sell your personal data, use it for
advertising, or share it with third-party advertisers.
Third parties that process your data
-
Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store subscriptions,
server-to-server purchase notifications.
-
Google Firebase — Authentication and Firestore database.
-
Vercel — Hosts our backend serverless functions and
this website.
-
golfcourseapi.com — Queried by our backend when you
search for a course that isn't in our cache. Only your search query (not
your identity) is sent.
Your choices
-
Delete your account. Open the app → home screen →
subscription card → "Delete Account". This permanently deletes your
profile, saved courses, referral history, and Firebase Auth record.
-
Revoke Apple sign-in. iOS Settings → your Apple ID →
Sign in with Apple → Wolf Golf → Stop Using Apple ID.
-
Deny permissions. Location and local network access
are optional; denying them disables only the features that use them.
-
Export your data. Contact
support@wolfgolfgames.com and we'll
export your profile, saved courses, and round history.
Children
Wolf Golf is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly
collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account,
email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date whenever the
policy changes. Material changes will also be surfaced in the app.
